AWESOME ARTS FESTIVAL - DECEMBER

At the end of the 10 weeks, the children and youth will participate in a free public event showcasing their new creations and talents. Over  80 children and  youth from the Strathcona Heights community will be participating in the 2012 One World Awesome Arts program ranging in age from 5 to 18 years of age.

Beatboxing, hip hop dancing, theatre, music videos...this is just part of what’s in store for you at the Awesome Arts Festival.

After working hard on their theatre skits, slam poems, drum solos and animation videos, the children and youth will show off their talents to their community. This is a perfect opportunity to share what they have to say through a creative medium.

But it’s not all hard work and performing for the participants. The children and youth also get to sit back and watch the rest of the show. Not only will they see their friends, brothers and sisters perform but the audience will get to see award-winning performers beatboxing, hip hop dancing and more! The evening is always a big hit with great music, food and entertainment. We encourage you all to come to this free, fun event!
